SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS & ROOM PICK UP

On Jan. 6, 2008 our children will begin in Sunday School. Grades K -MS will begin in room 2 for Prayer and Praise. This will be followed by a Sunday Special on Epiphany, and children may be picked up in rooms 2 and 4 after the worship service.

Our third rotation of curriculum will begin on Jan 13^th with the study of the Good Samaritan. Teachers that have signed up thus far are: Lee Hipsher, Erica LaTray and Betsy Rogstad. Helpers are: Christeen Collins, Janet Koostra, and Lisa Machuga. We still need two more teachers, one forPre School and one for ?Moved by the Spirit". Please call Bonnie Warren at 453-4316 or Erica LaTray at 452-2153, if you would like to teach. We thank you so much, if you are 'called' to enjoy this wonderful experience!

The Methodists have decided to go back to their regular Sunday School time. They will join us again for VBS in June. We thank them for their help and fellowship! It was a positive experience for all of us! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

WOMENS BIBLE STUDY will resume meeting on Thursday January 10^th at 6:15 P.M.

CAMP MIMANAGISH SUMMER 2008

PAID STAFF POSITIONS AVAILABLE

It may be wishful thinking but summer will be here before we know it and Camp Mimanagish has PAID camp staff positions available. If you would like to earn some extra money while being enriched with the camp program, go to www.campmimanagish.org for schedules and job duties as well as a description of the camp and program, or call Michael at 1-800-735-0779. The following positions are available:

Camp Director- $7,500 for the season

Cook- $600/week

Maintenance Worker- $6,000 for the season

Camp Assistant 1- $400/week

Camp Assistant 2- $400/week

UPCOMING YOUTH EVENTS

The MNWC (Montana-Northern Wyoming Conference) Winter Youth Event is scheduled for February 22-24 in Bozeman. Registration is planned for 6:00 P.M. on the 22^nd and the event finishes after worship on the 24^th at Pilgrim UCC. Cost is $35 (paid for by the Bertsche Memorial fund). More information will follow.

Save the date: July 24-28. The UCC National Youth Event only happens every 4 years. The MNWC delegation has only 49 spots for youth (plus chaperones). The bus trip to the National Youth Event Living The Life at the University of Tennessee will run from approximately July 22-31, and includes additional activities along the way. 100,000 For Peace Goal Nearly Met

Your help is needed to provide critical shelter, food, clothing and schooling for Iraqi war refugees and their children in 2008. As of December 31, $82,700 has been raised as our share of a larger ecumenical effort; just $17,300 short of the $100,000 goal. The January 6^th deadline is quickly approaching. A gift of $40 can feed a family of four for two weeks. $85 can provide warm coats and hats for five children. $100 can provide medicine and testing for the chronically ill. This Sunday after worship, January 6^th, we encourage you to participate in our "de-decorating" party for the sanctuary and other areas throughout the church. What beauty we had displayed during the Christmas Season! Thank you to all who helped decorate and thank you, in advance for those willing to help "de-decorate".
