SPECIAL LENTEN OFFERINGS Taizé Contemplative Prayer continues this Tuesday, February 19th during the noon hour and will continue on Tuesdays for the six weeks of Lent. Taizé ("tuh-Zay") is a time of music, prayer, scripture and silence. These four elements constitute one half hour of weekly contemplative prayer practiced around the globe by Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox communities. It bridges denominations and faith communities. This is meant to be a time set apart to be with God and to help you unwind and center yourself. Led by Revs. Jim Petersen and Kama Hamilton Morton, this joint meditation will be held in our sanctuary from 12:15 P.M.-12:45 P.M. every Tuesday through Lent.
Lenten devotionals are available in the narthex for adults, families, and teens. In addition, the Stillspeaking Lenten Devotional 2008 is online at www.uccvitality.org. This Lenten Devotional is another product of the Writers' Group, sponsored by the Congregational Vitality Initiative.

"Great Sunday School." "Knowledge and friendship." "We pray to God and that's good." "Its members are great cooks and very hospitable." "It is family away from home." "The people and the minister."
