AN EXTREME THANK YOU

 

 

 

 

 

The Christian Education Board and Bonnie Warren wish to extend an EXTREME THANK YOU to the following people who all helped to makeCAMP EDGE (the theme of this summer's vacation bible school) such a wonderful experience.  The adults and youth in our churches shared their many talents, love, and patience with our campers all week long.  It truly was a week full of happy times while we all Experienced and Discovered God Everywhere!  There was a total of 51 children and 36 adults and youth.  May God bless and hold each of you close as you go about your summer adventures!     -Bonnie Warren

Our sympathy to Rev. Bill Hawk & family in the death of his son, Rodney, 37, who was killed in a single-car accident near Kalispell, June 14.
Our sympathy to Tera Ryan in the death of her friend and bridesmaid, Jennifer Ferguson, 30, who died of a pulmonary embolism in Madera, CA.  Service is in Billings on June 19.

 Our sympathy to Erin Addison & family in the death of her fiancé, Wade Johnson, 24, who died in an avalanche while mountain climbing in China.  Service will be at Carelton College, June 19.

 

IT STARTED WITH 4,000 COPIES
OF THE WHITE MAN'S BIBLE

   Join the Human Rights Network for a presentation that coincides with the Speaking Volumes:  Transforming Hate art exhibit currently at the Paris Gibson Square Museum.  On Saturday, June 20, at 2:00 P.M. at the Paris Gibson Square Museum (1400 1st Ave. N), the Network's Travis McAdam (son of Chuck & Carol) will present It Started with 4,000 Copies of the White Man's Bible, which details how the Human Rights Network obtained the white supremacist books used in the exhibit and provides background on the hate group that used them.  Travis will also talk about the origins and planning that went into creating the exhibit. 

 

BENEFIT SALE THIS SATURDAY

Just a reminder, a second benefit sale is this Saturday, June 20, in Fellowship Hall, from 8:00 A.M.-Noon. Proceeds from the sale benefit Bob and Teresa Norton of Great Falls whose son, Bobby Richards, was critically injured in a car accident on May 21, in Minneapolis. 

HANDBELL HOSPITALITY

Christ UMC is hosting the Wesley Bell Ringers, a youth handbell choir from Christ UMC in Salt Lake City as they perform on their 44th Annual Tour.  We invite our FCUCC friends to help with this fun evening if you wish!  Mark your calendar to come to their concert on Friday, June 26, at 7:30 P.M. at the church.  We are in need of housing, taco supper ingredients, and supper help.  If you are able to accommodate in these areas, please call the church office to see what's needed on the signup sheet.

 

Summer lawncare is needed for July and September.  Please call Nick Cetto if you can help, 761-0407.

The 1st week of Camp Mimanagish is off to a great start!  Rumor has it that our campers Will Hoard, Molly Koostra, Taryn Kosmerl, and Kessa Rigali are having a great time with camp counselor Chris Kosmerl.  Other camps coming soon are:

July 7-11                    3/4 Grade Camp           $160

July 12-18                  7/8/9 Grade Camp        $230

July 19-25                  10/11/12 Grade Camp  $220

YOUTH NEWS

ROLLER SKATING FUN!  Youth grades 6-12 are invited to Hauer's Family Skating Center (1807 3rd Ave. NW) on Friday, June 19th.  The session is from 7:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. and cost is $5.00 and include skate rentals (inline skates are extra).  There is a snack bar available as well.    Please meet at Hauer's just before 7:00 P.M.  THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF ABOUT FIVE PARENTS STAY TO CHAPERONE.    Kids have to be picked up by 10:00 P.M. or they will be charged for an additional session. 

 

 

 

 

 

Attention float folks and kazoo players!  On Tuesday, June 23,     there will be a meeting to get our floats in a row before this year's parade.  We will meet at 6:30 P.M. in Fellowship Hall.

 

We are now in the new fiscal year and are hoping to close last year's books.  Thank you to everyone who has paid their pledge in full.  92% of pledge money has been received!  Letters will soon go out to those with an outstanding balance.  Please call Holly in the office if there is a discrepancy on your statement and she will make every effort to correct it.  Thank you!
