August 26, 2009

You've asked for it, and we're listening!  Beginning September 9, First Congregational and Christ United Methodist will kickoff our WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE! with dinner at 5:30 P.M.  Planning is still underway so we are again enclosing the blue surveys for you to fill out and return to the office ASAP.  Surveys are not registrations.  We simply need your input to help this ministry evolve.  We're looking to expand our Wednesday evenings to offer FOOD, FUN, FELLOWSHIP and FORMATION for all ages.  This is what we've come up with so far:

                 5:30-6:00 P.M. - Dinner (free will offering)

                6:00-6:15 P.M. - Fellowship, song, devotion, announcements

6:15-7:30 P.M. - Childcare provided for ages 0-2 (in the nursery)

                6:15-7:15 P.M. - Seedlings (ages 3-grade K) & Sprouts (grades 1-2)

                6:15-7:15 P.M. - God's Fun Makers (grades 3-5)

                6:15-7:45 P.M. - Youth Group (grades 6-12)

                6:15-7:15 P.M. - Adult small groups

Remember, there is still time for your input.  Please fill out the enclosed survey today and return it to the church.

IN OUR THOUGHTS & PRAYERS

SUMMER GUESTS

What a way to wrap up summer- bring a guest or friend!  Be looking for our Tribune ad, sponsored by the Church Growth Board, the week of September 6.

HARVEST EXCHANGE TABLE

There is still time to participate in the Harvest Exchange Table and share in each other's bounty.  Bring any garden produce, flowers, preserves, or whatever the harvest time brings you, and donate them to the table.  After worship, visit the table and take what you would like.  We just ask that you leave a donation, if able.  The table will continue as long as the gardens grow!

The office is in the process of developing our new 2009/10 Church Directory.  We are hoping to have these ready for our Homecoming Sunday Service on September 20.  In an effort to be as accurate as possible, we are asking you to contact the office with any updates or changes.  Email addresses are great, as are cell phone numbers, if you wish to make these public.  Please contact the office with your new or updated information ASAP!
