NUBE ENSEMBLE IN CONCERT

You may recall Nicolas Carter, a Paraguayan harpist fromMinneapolis, who was here three years ago in concert as a fund raiser to send two UCC missionaries from our Conference to Paraguay.  It was a delightful evening.  Nicolas is returning with an international ensemble called Nube, presenting in concert The Story of the Golden Bird. The quartet blends dynamic harmonies of harp, guitar, and flute with lively Latin American percussion rhythms.  Nube is on tour in Montana, presenting concerts in Havre and Lewistown as a part of their community concert series.  Our concert, open to the public, is being sponsored by our Christian Service Board.  A reception by our Fellowship Board will follow.  A free will offering will be received, with a $10 suggestion, the proceeds of which will go to Haiti relief.  Spread the word, invite your friends and join us:  SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 7:00 P.M., SANCTUARY.  (Check out Nube at http://www.nicolascarter.com/nube.php)

Grades K-1           Room 4       Syneva Heupel

A quote from Rev. Jim's  sermon on January 31:  "Finding Jesus (as did the Wise Men in Matthew) is not the end of the journey.  Finding Jesus gives direction and discernment to the continuation of the journey, where we can distinguish between the Herods and the heroes of the world.  Finding Jesus does not mean here we stand and we travel no further.  Finding Jesus means we will never travel alone, now go share the ?good news' with the rest of the world, as Matthew commissions at the conclusion of his Gospel."

We are once again recycling #1 and #2 plastics. The bin is located in the hallway outside the kitchen in Fellowship Hall.
